Kevin Xu Presents APEC 2025 Commemorative Medallion to Clinton
On September 23, during the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Sponsors Reception in New York, MEBO Group Chairman and former APEC Host Committee Chair Kevin Xu presented former U.S. President Bill Clinton with an APEC 2025 commemorative medallion set. The gift honored Clinton’s historic role in advancing Asia-Pacific economic cooperation and symbolized the continued legacy of the APEC spirit.
The event marked CGI’s 20th anniversary and the 12th year of collaboration between CGI and MEBO. At the upcoming CGI Annual Meeting, CGI and MEBO will jointly announce a new initiative in global health and sustainable development.
The presentation follows a similar gesture in 2024, when Xu gifted Clinton a symbolic APEC 2024 cap, commemorating more than three decades of APEC’s history. Xu and Clinton have built a longstanding friendship and collaborated closely on global development, climate change, and cultural exchange initiatives.
The 2025 APEC Summit will be held in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 28 to November 1. Xu will deliver a keynote on October 30 at the forum “Global Cooperation to Deliver Better Digital Healthcare.”
