Marketing Development is Stable and Academic Activities are being Propelled with High-Efficiency in Indonesia

The large medical market of Indonesia has become one of the most important markets in South-east Asia, relying on its population up to 240 m. Since 2008, on the basis of the deep collaborations between MEBO International Group and the local agencies and distributors, the successful model of marketing development can be approved and brought in Indonesia. With the non-ceasing endeavors by the staffs from both, the integral development of medical market in Indonesia, leading by medical techniques, has been stably folded with good marketing gains. It is gradually becoming the typical example that is successfully transplanted from the domestic marketing model in the world. And at the tail of July in 2010, the marketing director and the region manager of MEBO International Business Department officially paid a visit to Indonesia on invitation and conducted extensive and detailed discussions in terms of medical development and marketing mature in the next step.

Meanwhile, on the Aug 1 2010, the day when the medical development and maintenance were just put an end, Prof. Chen Yongchong, the Clinical Director of China National Scientific & Technologic Center for Burns, Wounds and Ulcers, the Vice President of Beijing Rongxiang Institution of Regenerative Medicine and Deputy Director of Beijing Branch of the Chinese Burn Association of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine (CBAIM) started the second bout of Indonesian medical development without a stop, accompanied with Mr. Kirastha, the representative of Combiphar who organized and arranged a series of academic activities. During this round of medical development, those activities could be intimately connected with the local doctor societies or hospitals and achieve many goals, including the organizing ability, influence of MEBO, academic advancement and etc. The classes with new and practical contents, which are also as the items of the Indonesian national further education and issue the credits, were pretty pleased by medical staffs in clinic. And one good approach was probed to the medical development. Totally, two province-wide training classes, three municipal-wide training classes, two hospital-wide training classes and five times of academic communications were performed with more than 690 burns, plastic, general, dermatological and orthopedics surgeons and registered nurses and 19 local marketing staffs trained. Moreover, there were no less than 5 governmental teaching hospitals initially to apply the in situ Skin Regenerative Restoration Techniques in their own hospitals. Furthermore, the treatments of one extreme mass burns and five ulcers cases were consulted and guided by Prof. Chen. Due to the approach, good effects in the development and maintenance of regenerative medicine were so successfully achieved with high-efficiency. And the most significant one was to attend the Indonesian National Burns and Plastic Meeting. Now I am about to uncover and share the experience in short texts with pictures as followed:

1. In the morning of Aug 2, the Burn Regenerative Medicine class that issues the credits of further education was held successfully in Probolinggo. There were 39 medical staffs from burns, orthopedics, general surgery, dermatology, emergency and internal medicine departments in four governmental hospitals and several other private hospitals attending this training and got ideal effects.

2. In the morning of Aug 3, Prof. Chen with Mr. Kirastha (just returned from Probolinggo and arrived in Jakarta) directly came to the training room of surgical department in Fatmawati Hospital (the governmental hospital, based in Jakarta with 400 beds and the burn center) and gave an introduction about the Burn Regenerative Restoration Medicine and Therapy for the burns, plastic and general surgeons. All participants listened carefully and were raised great interests in the regenerative medicine. Two trainings attained good effects and laid solid foundation for introduction of the regenerative medicine in their hospital in the next stage.

3. In the afternoon of Aug 3, after the end of the training in Fatmawati Hospital, Prof.Chen was invited to engage in the consultation to direct the treatment of one patient with massive extremely burns. This patient is a 47-year-old male, admitted as a result of the burns by flame. Diagnosis: i. Massive extremely burns (TBSA up to 75%, deep II degree to deep III degree); 2. Moderate inhalant injuries. Due to the large TBSA, the severity of burns and no relevant experience to rescue such patient, in particular the hospital invited Prof. Chen to give guidance in order to have Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy perfectly used on the patient. After arrival, Prof. Chen initially listened about the patient’s conditions, and then comprehensively checked the documentations and began the physical examination. After that, he gave a treatment regime that covers the systemic treatment and local treatment with Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy in association with the factual conditions of the patient. Ultimately, Prof. Chen demonstrated the procedures of ‘Eschar Incision and Tension-Relieving’ technique on the deep full-dermis burns and MEBT (Moisture Exposed Burn Therapy).

After the consultation, a training course that is concerning on the detailed explanation of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy for the medical staff in surgical department was conducted by Prof. Chen, so that it could be comprehensively interpreted and steered as the foundation for the standard application of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy later.

4. At 10 am Aug 5, the Banda Aceh clinical class of Burn Regenerative Medicine (provincial item of medical further education, with 12 credits) was successfully held at the academic hall in Zainul Abidin Hospital, sponsored by Indonesian Doctor Society and undertaken by Zainul Abidin Hospital. The Zainul Abidin Hospital is one of the biggest local teaching hospitals with 500 beds and is planning to set the burn center on the basis of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy. More than 120 doctors and nurses, from five governmental hospitals and some 20 private hospitals in 3 cities, attended this training. Vice-president, Dr. Mardiani of Zainul Abidin Hospital also came to give an incentive speech prior to the beginning of the training. Dr. Azharuddin, the director of surgical department hosted the training in which Prof. Chen gave a lecture, called ‘the Standard Clinical Application of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy in the Treatment of Burns, Wounds and Ulcers’ on invitation. And also, did Dr. Bismedi give a report that shares his experience on the two cases recently treated by Regenerative Medicine and Therapy. All participants had learned Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy in high energy that means the training with dense academic atmosphere gained ideal effects.

At 2pm, the bed-side demonstration of standard wound treatment procedures was arranged and underwent by the sponsor. Prof. Chen demonstrated the standard procedures of moisture exposed therapy, semi-exposed therapy and bandage therapy of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy on two different patients by which all participants could authentically learn and practically manipulate the gist of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy.

5. At 4pm Aug 10, the Sorong clinical training of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy (Municipal item of further education with 6 credits) was held at the meeting room in Abadi Hotel, sponsored by Doctor Society. Some 40 doctors and nurses from three governmental hospitals and other 10 private hospitals attended this training. Dr. Elkana hosted the training in which Prof. Chen gave a lecture, called ‘the Standard Clinical Application of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy in the Treatment of Burns, Wounds and Ulcers’. As for the novelty and practical contents, it was preferred by everyone.

6. At 9am Aug 12, the Manado clinical training of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy (Provincial item of further education with 8 credits) was held at the meeting room in Aston Hotel, sponsored by Doctor Society. 89 doctors and nurses from 8 governmental hospitals and some 20 private hospitals in four cities attended this training. Dr. Jan Ngantung, the director of burn and plastic department, hosted the training in which Prof. Chen gave a lecture, called ‘the Standard Clinical Application of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy in the Treatment of Burns, Wounds and Ulcers’ that was preferred by participants and had good gains.

7. At 9am Aug 13, the Jambi clinical training of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy (Provincial item of further education with 6 credits) was held at the academic hall in Raden Mattaher Hopital, sponsored by Doctor Society. Some 80 doctors and nurses from 4 governmental hospitals and other 10 private hospitals attended this training. Dr. Imanuel, the Vice-president of Raden Mattaher Hospital, hosted the training in which Prof. Chen gave a lecture, called ‘the Standard Clinical Application of Burn Regenerative Medicine and Therapy in the Treatment of Burns, Wounds and Ulcers’. And Dr. Aziz, the Director of surgical department, introduced his own clinical experience in the treatment of bed sores with the MEBT/MEBO. The training was preferred by everyone and had good gains.
