With MEBT/MEBO, A Chronic Osteomyelitis Patient Cured

Chen Quanxi Associate chief physician of Chinese Burn Association of the Integrity of Traditional and Western Medicine, cured a chronic osteomyilitis patient with MEBT/MEBO at Small Train Orthopedic Hospital in Henan province China, accompanying with the common efforts from Jiang Caiyun (the hospital’s chairman), Li Jie (the hospital’s vice-chairman) and Shang Hui (the primary care physician).

Patient’s personal information: YXX, male, 29 years old, married. On Jan 9th, 2010, he suffered from a car accident, causing the comminuted fracture on the fibula and tibia of right lower extremity. At one local hospital, he received the traditional method but with little clinical therapeutic effect. On the date of Jul 26, 2010, he was transferred and admitted to the Small Train Orthopedic Hospital with the diagnosis of chronic osteomyilitis, old fracture.

Assessment on admission: the marginal skin of wound appeared dark with little whitish and yellowish secretion and odorous smell. Besides, the internal steel plate exposed with the necrotic tissues around the inner incision. The result of X-ray indicated: Comminuted fracture on the fibula and tibia of right lower extremity with uneven consistency on the affected site and necrosis of fibular head. Interventions: performed debridement on the affected areas, calcameus traction and dressing-change with MEBT/MEBO. At the 56th day after admission, the wound was healed with no dysfunction left. The good clinical efficacy was satisfied by the patient and families and discharged.
