Xu Peng Invited to Visit Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine
Dr. Atala, Director of top U.S. regenerative medical research institute the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, showed great interest in application research of organ regeneration developed by Mr. Xu Rongxiang, Board Chairman of MEBO. So, he invited Mr. Xu Peng, President of MEBO International (U.S.) and Founder of Regeneration X Fund, to visit his Institute. And, Xu has paid a visit to Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. More information is as follows:
Regeneration Medical Research Institute of Wake Forest University has made thoughtful preparations for his visit. Guided and introduced by professor Bishop, Xu had visited most of the labs of the institute. Dr. Bishop showed us all the valuable facilities and equipments, including 3D cell printer, cell culture room and technology, cell imaging technology, tissue culture and tissue engineering technology, the production of engineered organ scaffold, GMP qualified facility to product FDA admitted engineered tissue product. Dr. Bishop introduced the GMP facility with video and mentioned the good relationship and collaboration between Wake Forest and AFIRM (Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine) and presented the 2011 annual report book of AFIRM.
Later, Xu briefly introduced MEBO science and technology, emphasizing that the core of MEBO science is to realize regeneration and rejuvenation of organs in a physiological environment created by regenerative nutrients in MEBO. Dr. Atala introduced shortly their work on tissue engineering, saying a lot of clinical trials regarding engineered tissue are ongoing. He emphasized that they are open to whatever technology as long as it is really works and helpful to patients. He presented his kindness for possible collaboration with MEBO and Regeneration X Fund.
Then, President Xu presented Dr. Atala a gift of two books, Burns Regenerative Medicine and Therapy and Human Body Regenerative Restoration Science. Dr. Atala presented the information folder of Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine and took photos with President Xu
Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, as a world leading research institute in tissue engineering, is forerunner in research and development of world human body tissue engineering. The visit will promote mutual understanding and will facilitate future exchange and cooperation.
