Steady and Stable Development of MEBO
In order to promote application of regenerative science in Malaysia and to coordinate the development requirements of MEBO (Malaysia), Ms. Zhangmeiyan, member of Chinese Burns Association of Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine, Mr. Zhao Yamin, Manager of MEBO (Malaysia) and local agents arranged visits to doctors and medical promotion in middle and later part of October and at the beginning of November.
On October 18th, Zhang Meiyan and Zhao Yamin and two other colleagues from MEBO agents arrived at Wounds International Global Conference and met Dr. Martin and Dr. Mirela, Dr. Farrah, Dr. Shah, Dr. Fauzani and Dr. Anne. They discussed with experts about the latest application of MEBO in Malaysia and made a brief visit to other booths to get to know various new wound treatment products.
At 4:00, October 22nd, the team members got up and went for Terrenganu located on the east coast of Malaysia on 7:00. The first CME was held in KK Kuala Berang, 8 doctors, 11 nurses and 3 pharmacists presented the meeting. In this CME was supported by Dr. Fauzani with Ulcer Treatment Clinic. Dr. Fauzani was once in China to learn MEBO in June and became quite familiar with the technique after her return. Ninety percent of her patients were using MEBO, and new patients keep coming everyday to inquire about MEBO. Dr. Fauzani arranged rooms and notified others to present the meeting. The doctors and nurses provided many questions, mostly focusing on indications. The atmosphere is quite heated. Ms. Zhang answered all their questions.

CME in KK Kuala Berang Hospital
On October 23rd, Hospital Dugun is another hospital in Terrenganu. MEBO has been adopted in this hospital for only two months or so. There were three doctors and more than 30 nurses attending the presentation. They were all shocked by the typical cases healed with MEBO. Some doctors asked about the differences between tension relieving surgery and traditional eschar incision surgery and the puzzles about the excessive synthesis of collagenous fiber. Some nurses asked about the application of MEBO to curb itching on wounds and eczema of diabetes patients. Ms. Zhang answered their questions in detailed manner. Later on, the interaction tests were held and all nurses could answer quite smoothly. Some bought MEBO right after the presentation for their family members.

On the morning of October 24th, MEBO team visited the head nurse Sister Shakimah with Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital. She is a respectable head nurse and prescribes drugs to patients at purchasing price and refuses any rebates as well as any promotion without clear origins. She started learning regenerative therapy more than three years ago and recommended it to other doctors. She has been promoting MEBO in burns department and other departments. She said that some patients may sense burning on wounds. And, Ms. Zhang explained to her that it might result from the slight infections due to water on wounds and suggested that head nurse and other medical staff not apply any stimulating substance on wounds and encouraged prompt eradication of infections. The head nurse took notes about the new standards. We were all moved by her attentive spirit.

At noon, MEBO team arrived at Kemaman on the south of Terrenganu where crude oil and natural resource is rich. Therefore, it is a rather developed region on the south. MEBO has just been adopted in this hospital, mainly for diabetes and ulcers. However, such work requires much tracking and training. All twenty medical staff presenting the meeting was very attentive, they could describe the principle of standard dressing change and operation and the mechanism of drugs. The training was quite satisfactory. Then, she took meals with two medical officers who inquired her about other indications and related research essays. They were interested to come to China for further training.

On October 25th, Ms. Zhang paid a special visit to Dr. Halizah who applied regenerative therapy to wounds in gynecological operations and tried application in cases of cervical erosion and carried out comparison test. Dr. Halizah made some feedbacks about the insufficient supply of drugs. Zhang communicated with responsible persons from agents to settle the problems and tracked the whole process.

At 6:00, October 29th, we arrived at Malacca to visit Dr. Izety in plastic surgery department and five other doctors from department of orthopaedics, including Dr. Wazid, Dr. Muhaminh and Dr. Akmal. Dr. Izety is one of pioneers in Malaysia to apply regenerative therapy and is attracted by the magic efficacy of regenerative therapy. Now, he is the firm supporter of MEBO. The other two doctors from department of orthopaedics, Dr. Wazid and Dr. Muhaminh, have once come to China in this June to learn regenerative therapy and witnessed sounds efficacies. And, now they are actively recommending this technique to Dr. Akmal who is also very satisfied with MEBO. Dr. Akmal introduced their research about using MEBO to other indications apart from burns, and Ms. Zhang displayed research results and other case reports about diabetic foot.
On October 30th, CME was held in a remote hospital developed in this February, the Hospital Alor Gajar. All doctors came from different hospitals for diagnosis at set time. There were only two established departments, the wound treatment clinic and gynaecology and obstetrics clinic. The wound treatment clinic usually accepts 25 patients every day. The medical staff in this hospital was also active to promote regenerative therapy. However, due to misunderstandings, MEBO has only been applied in advanced phase. Ms. Zhang repeatedly exchanged her ideas with them and corrected the false concept, emphasizing early adoption of regenerative therapy. All those participating CME were nurses and assistant doctors who were very attentive and able to answer questions correctly. Then, the medical officer shared their successful cases of adopting MEBO in their hospital. After the presentation, many nurses required samples and asked prices and more indications. In the follow-up tracks, the medical officers have applied independent budget for regenerative therapy and looked forward to more exchanges and trainings.

On November 7th, MEBO team arrived at a military hospital, the Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tengkumizan. Due to the strict management, photography was not allowed. The doctors, nurses and medical officers presented the CME training came from various departments of the hospital. Some doctors inquired the price, the volume and the prevention and treatment of scars. Ms. Zhang made detailed answer. The CME training was the second one after the medical promotion two years ago, which further enhanced its understanding of regenerative therapy and promoted the adoption of MEBO in military hospitals.
