Kevin Xu Was Invited to Attend the 20th Anniversary Conference of PEPFAR

　　Kevin Xu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MEBO Group, was invited to attend the 20th anniversary conference of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Washington, D.C. on February 24, 2023 as a guest.

　　More than 200 individuals in the field of AIDS prevention and treatment attended the conference, including the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush, former President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President and CEO of the George W. Bush Presidential Center, Ken Hersh, and Bill Gates.

　　PEPFAR - President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, was launched in 2003 by President George W. Bush and is the largest international health plan ever developed by a single country to combat a disease. Over the past 20 years, it has been implemented in more than 50 countries and over $100 billion has been invested in fighting HIV/AIDS to save 25 million people. PEPFAR has not only played an important role in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, but also strengthened health systems and promoted economic growth.

　　The achievements of the PEPFAR over the past 20 years was reviewed. Those who launched the program and who benefited from it, and people who have been working tirelessly to eliminate AIDS, shared their opinions and provided strategies on how to further promote global health and development.

　　The launch of PEPFAR marks a turning point in the prevention and treatment of AIDS. Despite of various difficulties, it will continue to work hard until HIV/AIDS is no longer a threat.
