Training Lecture on Using MEBO’s Regenerative Therapy Provoked Enthusiastic Reponses from Doctors in Damascus, Syria
On Nov.5th 2008, Prof. Yongchong Chen was invited to give a training lecture on the application of MEBO’s regenerative therapy to the treatment of burns, wounds and ulcers to over 40 seasoned doctors and professors from more than 20 hospitals in Damascus, Syria, which provoked enthusiastic responses from the lecture attendees.
Hosted by Dr. Ayman Joudieh from Universal Pharmaceutical Industries, the training lecture by Dr. Chen entitled “Standard Application and Recent Advancement of Burns Regenerative Therapy (BRT) with MEBT/MEBO for Burns, Wounds and Ulcers” was divided into four parts: 1) the basic studies and mechanisms of BRT with MEBT/MEBT on burnt skin regeneration and repair in situ; 2) standard application of BRT with MEBT/MEBO for local treatment; 3) clinical techniques of using BRT with MEBT/MEBO for extensive, deep burn wound treatment; and 4) clinical application of BRT with MEBT/MEBO for various wounds and surface ulcers treatment. Owing to its novel and practical contents, the lecture provoked enthusiastic responses from the audience. After the lecture, Prof. Chen was surrounded by a crowd of the attendees and patiently answered their questions regarding the details of clinical practices using MEBO’s regenerative therapy.
Later, invited by the General Assembly of Damascus Hospital under the Ministry of Health, the largest public hospital in Syria with 600 ward beds in total and 23 ward beds designated for the Burns Department, Prof. Chen paid a visit there for academic exchanges of information and clinical supervision.
During the visit, both sides had productive discussions of clinical use of MEBO’s regenerative therapy and the details of clinical guidelines. This visit from MEBO laid a significant groundwork for the introduction of MEBO’s regenerative therapy to the clinical treatment of extensive burn patients in the future.
