Prosperous Future of Russian Burns, Wounds & Ulcers Market

Ever since MEBO International Group (International Business) launched the direct sale of Gastrointestinal (GI) Capsule and isotonic cosmetics in Russia in 2010, the sales volume grew steadily with promising future. Based on this, we did a research about the Russian market of burns, wounds and ulcer. According to the research, the market grew more than 15% every year since 2008 and even 18% in 2010 - 2011. Up until 2011, the sales volume of burns, wounds and ulcers related to product was USD1.23billion. The board of directors approved the registration project of Russia after thorough evaluation. After elaborate preparation and research, MEBO International Group (International Business) invited Professor Andrey Alekseev, the Chairman of Russian Burn Academy, and Nekrasov Oleg, the drug registration agent, and the other three assistants for a visit from 10th to 17th March 2013. During the visit, both sides will have a face-to-face talk about the registration project and clinical trial in Russia as well as the chance to visit the Affiliated Hospital of Yan’an University.
On11th March, Russian guests had a short meeting with Ms. Sun , CEO of MEBO International Group (International Business), in the headquarters of MEBO International Group. Ms. Sun extended warm welcome to the Russian guests and also expressed confidence in drug registration project and market in Russia. She said, “We believe our career with MEBT/MEBO will enjoy bright and promising future in Russia”. After the meeting, Chris Yang, technical assistant with International Business made a brief introduction about the company and its product and technology. Russian guest also visited the club and witnessed the diversified application of MEBT/MEBO. In the afternoon, Russian guests had a meeting with registration specialists of International Business and discussed about details of MEBO drug registration in Russia.
On 12th March, Russian guests headed for Yan’an. In the evening, Ma Bolin, President of the Affiliated Hospital of Yan’an University, and Li Shixin, Secretary of the Hospital, held a special welcoming banquet for the guests who came a long way from Russia. Mr. Ma extended the warm welcome to Russian guests and said that it was an honor to have Professor Andrey Alekseev and his colleagues in his hospital since they were the first group of doctors from Russia who came and visited their hospital over the past 60 years.
On 12th March, Russian guests headed for Yan’an. In the morning of 13th March, hospital staff expressed warm welcome to Russian guests. In the following two days, both Russia and China doctors made theme report and Russian guests also viewed the dressing change procedure in Burn Department and Surgery. Professor HU Dong-cai, Secretary of Chinese Burn Association of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine (CBAIM) made a report about the up-to-date progress of MEBT/MEBO in clinical practice. Then Professor Andrey Alekseev also introduced the current trends of burn management in Russia. Later on, doctors from the hospital also made theme reports about MEBT/MEBO and Russian guests also put forward many questions which turned the meeting into a hot discussion. After the report, guided by Professor Hu and Xue Hongbin, Chief of Burn Department of the hospital, Russian guests visited the burn unit, OR and dressing change room. Meanwhile, they also viewed the dressing change procedure of MEBT/MEBO as well as Micro-Skin Planting Technique. During the visit, Professor Andrey showed great interest to MEBT/MEBO and he believed this technique will change the future of burn management of Russia. He also expressed the strong desire to participate in the work of introducing this technique to Russian patients. After the visit in the hospital, Professor Andrey also invited the leaders and doctors in the hospital to attend the Annual Burn Conference of Russia which will be held in October and visit his burn center.
On 15th March, Russian guests returned to Beijing and directly went to the office of International Business and had a further discussion with the registration department without any rests. After the visit in the hospital, Russian guests had further understanding about MEBT/MEBO. Thus, they revised the plan of clinical trial and also made a more detailed plan for the registration project. Professor Andrey also showed strong interest about the market promotion of MEBO ointment and MEBO Scar Ointment in Russia. He believed this unique technique will definitely benefit more patients in Russia and he himself will make every effort in the promotion of the technique. This visit was a good start for the registration project and promotion of MEBT/MEBO in Russia. Through the visit, both sides had thorough communication regarding registration and clinical practice and the visit also laid foundation for market promotion.
The seven-day visit came to an end, but the market promotion of Russia just began. Registration project of MEBO ointment should be completed as soon as possible while market promotion of other products will also begin immediately. We believe MEBT/MEBO will soon be the mainstream in Russia as well as other commonwealth independent states.
