Second Round MEBT/MEBO Training of Malaysia (Report 1)

After the successful conference of CBAIM in Nantong City 3 Malaysian nurses Ms.Hui Ting, Ms. Norli, Ms. Izliana were sent to have the second round of regenerative study in Ya’an People’s Hospital of Sichuan Province from 30th June to 10th July. 30th June 2012, three nurses arrived at Chengdu and received warm welcome from QIU Wei-dong, Director of CBAIM office in Sichuan Province. He made arrangement for the training and also recent development of CBAIM in Sichuan Province.

2 July, the training started officially with the presence of three nurses in the Burn Department of Ya’an People’s Hospital. Prof. FU Zi-jun, Director of the Department received the guests and extended warm welcome for the presence of Malaysian nurses. He also hope that they can learn some real stuff during the training.

After the shift, three nurses began their wound care training in the ward under the instruction of Gaojing the group leader of dressing change. Usually they change dressing three times a day which was 8 am, 3 pm and 8 pm. Different patient received different therapy such as exposed, semi-exposed or bandaging according to their condition.

During the first two days of training, they mainly watched the standard dressing change procedure and also reviewed the mechanism of burn as well as the key points of MEBT/MEBO in the treatment of various wounds so as to lay a solid foundation of the upcoming clinical practice. We will report the training in the next following days
