Steady Promotion of Medical Development in the Philippines to Boom Markets in 2013
At the end of last November, after medical development by MEBO experts and the visits of Dr. Rey Melchor F. Santos, the well-known surgical doctor, in April this year in China, MEBO experts visited the Philippines at the end of May of 2013 with the arrangement of Acuherb and MEBO International Group in order to further deepen clinical application of regenerative medical technology in the Philippines. Mr. Wu Xiaowei, the competent doctor from technical department of MEBO International, and Mr. Xie Ren, manager to the Philippines markets, and local team members were responsible to the medical development.
With the negotiation and arrangement between MEBO International and Acuherb, the medical development covered 7 hospitals in four main regions, among which the five are large government hospitals and one is private hospital and the other one is military hospital. During the medical development, one seminar for experts in Manila was held, eight sessions of MEBO/MEBT presentation and three sessions of expert-to-patient discussion. Totally, there were 203 people being trained. And, satisfactory results were received.
1. On May 27th, 8:30, Chad, Market Manager of the Phillipines and MEBO team drove for one hour before arriving at Philippines Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Center. This is the first time that Chinese experts developed a new hospital since MEBO entered into the Philippines. The Hospital was recommended by PGH and other large hospitals. They adopted MEBO one year ago and their visit this year is to deepen understanding of regenerative technology and conduct direct communication with Chinese experts. They focused on two departments including orthopedics and rehabilitation departments and carried out important training for the directors and key doctors in the two departments at 11:00. Totally, 28 doctors received training, among whom 23 were doctors and 5 were head nurse and nurses.
Later, experts from MEBO introduced treatment of such diseases as bed sore, diabetic foot and regeneration and rehabilitation after fracture, severed finger regeneration and scar contracture prevention. In Q&A session, MEBO expert and experts from other two departments exchanges ideas and discussed cases, focusing on patients with fracture and soft tissue injuries, key points of early regeneration technology, keys for debridement for patients in department of orthopedics, windowing operation, key points for patients in department of orthopedics in rehabilitation and bandaging period, key points of shortwave therapy, instruction and administration time of antibiotics for patients with infections, main compositions and mechanism of MEBO.
After Q&A, Dr. Raul Michael who had been very excited during the lecture said that he would on behalf of rehabilitation medical circle to attend the ISPRM held in National Conference Center in Beijing from June 16th to 20th. And, he wished to visit MEBO headquarter. At the same time, he expressed his interests about the treatment of complications and rehabilitations by using MEBO Regenerative Technology. Dr. Raul Michael invited MEBO expert team to visit his private office.

In the afternoon, MEBO team arrived at Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center with a 6-year history for annual visit of Burn Unit accompanied by Acuherb. Wu Xiaowei reviewed the ward to check the sterilization and the conditions of three patients with burns. Then, he provided guidance about the healing process and regeneration technique operation offered by Dr. Helen and difference of anionic dressing and standardized application of MEBO/MEBT. The old hospital was effectively maintained. And, he also communicated with owners of local pharmaceutical workshops for detailed understanding of MEBO application.

2. On May 28th, 9:00, MEBO team drove for one hour to arrive at VMMC and visited its general surgery department and urinary surgery department. Many politicians of Philippine, such as former president, often visited the hospital for rehabilitation and diagnosis. At the same time, this hospital is one the six large government hospitals in which Dr. Melchor Santo work for. And, this is the second time that MEBO team visited the hospital since Prof. Chen Yongchong’s visit in 2011. This hospital has adopted MEBO for 3 years. Then, Wu presented regeneration application of MEBO/MEBT in general surgery department and urinary surgery department to treat refractory wounds, including, bedsore, surgical trauma in general surgery department, urinary system, regeneration and healing of perineum, diabetic foot ulcers and treatment of aortoiliac occlusive disease. Altogether, there are 32 medical staff, 1 chairman with VMMC, 26 doctors from general surgical and urinary department, 2 head nurses and 3 nurses.

In the afternoon of May 28th, MEBO experts drove to Quezon City accompanied by Philippine Market Manager to visit the loyal supporters of MEBO. Dr. Mickey who had attended the Nantong Conference in 2012 introduced that all burn units adopted standardized MEBO/MEBT which was welcomed by Dr. Mickey and fellow Ruby. Then, they visited the ward. All patients here can leave hospital soon with the careful treatment of Dr. Mickey. Later, they discussed about the sterilization management of surgery ward and the treatment management for patients with extensive burns. At the same time, Wu inquired about the administration, and Mickey responded that only one patient was allergic to MEBO in the past 4 years. The two sides discussed about the reaction plan for such cases and reached consensus. Then, Wu answered the regenerative technique scheme for 2nd and 3rd degree wounds provided by Fellow ruby.

3. May 29th, 8:30, MEBO Team arrived at new office of Acuherb and held talks with its General Manager to share the information about the medical development for the past two days. At the same time, the two sides exchanged ideas about the future development blueprint of MEBO in Philippine.
At 11 o’clock, MEBO team left Acuherb and drove together with Chad for two hours to get to Quezon City to attend the clinical meeting about MEBO regeneration technology. Currently, this hospital has adopted regeneration technology for three years. But, this is the first time for them to communicate with MEBO team.

The regeneration meeting mainly focused on five parts, treatment of refractory wounds in abdominal surgery and early scars, treatment of bedsores due to paralysis, treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, regeneration of fracture, indications of three regenerative technique therapy and clinical application. We made PPT presentation and demonstration, and answered questions about excessive hyperplasia of old scars, indication of antibiotics, difference between MEBO fluid replacement and traditional fluid replacement calculation. Then, Dr. Cedie asked for the email box of Wu and sent his own contact information and gratitude. The three doctors expressed that they would go to China with communication of Acuherb and to communicate with MEBO experts face to face and learn the application of MEBO in China and enjoy the charming effects of MEBO.
On May 29th, 19:00, MEBO experts attended the meeting for surgical doctors from 7 hospitals. Those who presented the meeting include one chairman from surgical academy, 7 chief directors, 8 key surgical doctors and 5 head nurses. Then, Wu delivered speech and introduced clinical application of MEBO in the treatment of refractory wounds and plastic surgery. He made three slide presentations, especially extensive severe burns, healing of second degree wounds or below without scars, remaining of diabetic foot to be amputated, surgical scars with MEBT. After the speech, Wu introduced inventor of MEBO. Prof. Xu found Keratin 19 stem cell in 1984 and is going to attend international surgical conference held in Miami. At the same time, Dr. Melvin said, “Dr. William, thank you for your nice presentations, I think part of the medical text book would be modified because of MEBO.”
In the meantime, he wished to go to Chinese hospitals for deeper communication of MEBO/MEBT with MEBO’s experts. After the meeting, Wu communicated with the four experts in terms of the origin of regeneration techniques, mechanism of K-19 stem cells, clinical healing and healing standards in microanatomy, mechanism of MEBO GIC and application of MEBO and laser plastic surgery. 4. On the morning of May 30th, MEBO team arrived at NL Villa Hospital for the first medical development. This is a newly established private hospital which adopted MEBO since this March. Its new expert team includes surgical doctors trained in PGH.
They have all been expecting our visit to Philippine. The surgical doctors and head nurses from general surgical department, emergency department and urinary department. Nine doctors and five nurses presented the meeting.

5. On May 31st, 8:30, .MEBO team once again visited General Hospital of Bulaca and Dr. Bethoven, Director of general surgical department and Cancer Research Center and researcher of Philippine National Surgical Academy. It is also a new hospital for this medical development. Considering it is a new hospital, Wu presented the origin of MEBO, main composition, mechanism and principle of MEBO/MEBT regeneration roles and comparison of medicine under electron micro-scope. He also made presentation of other fields, including wound healing of abdominal surgery, wound healing of skin cancer and other systems and complications. Later, in Q&A session, MEBO experts discussed MEBO in the following areas, the usage instruction, the time of usage, types, prevention of scars, operation and indication of three regeneration techniques, notes and control of superficial infections.

6. On June 1st, 9:00, MEBO team arrived at Acuherb, our Philippine partner. Wu trained their sales team and answered their questions. As the same time, Wu summarized the questions mostly asked for the past one week and shared them with sales representative. After training, Philippine market director Chad took part in training.

Philippine is a southeastern Asian country with fastest population growth rate. Its population has exceeded 100 million. The relations between hospital and patients are quite good. Average people are willing to follow doctors’ instructions and treatments. MEBO has gained certain amount of doctors and patients in some large government-level hospitals. At the same time, new development is carried on in new hospitals. Dr. Hector Santos, who came to China to learn regeneration technology, praised the unprecedented advantages of MEBO in treatment of burns or surgical injuries and other complications. And, he wished a rapid registration of Scar Reducer and introduction into local hospitals. This is all their wishes. With successful registration of MEBO (20g), the development in Philippine wound be much more prosperous.
In this medical development, demand and application of MEBO from doctors in urinary department and emergency department and plastic surgery department are further enhanced. Apart from economic factors of patients and the sensitive body conditions, the Burns Department is now first priority for deep second degree wounds treated with MEBO/MEBT. At the same time, we were very happy to hear that Dr. Gene has applied MEBO in Baguio City Hospital and recommended MEBO/MEBO. During the communication with Philippine experts, the doctors, nurses and patients are extremely willing to use MEBO/MEBT due to the unique clinical effects.
