Boosting the Development of Scientific Research and Clinical Application in the field of Burn Wounds and Surface Ulcers of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine

  On the New Year’s Eve of 2012, a New Year Symposia of  the Chinese Burn Association of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine (CBAIM) was held at the multi-functional hall of MEBO International Group 27^th December 2011 in order to summarize, promote  and demonstrate the work of CBAIM， enhance the bound with Chinese Association of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine (CAIM).

 

  MU Da-wei, Secretary of the CAIM, MA Xiao-chang, Deputy Secretary of CAIM, CHEN Xiao-ye , Deputy Director of the Institution of Basic Theory; China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, LEI Yan, Secretary of the Laboratory Center of China Academy of Chinese Medical Science and other staff of CAIM, YANG Zhi-bin, President of MEBO International Group, ZHANG Qian, Vice-president of MEBO International Group, CHEN Bao-qi, Vice-President of MEBO International Group; Xiao Mo, president of CBAIM, ZHANG Yong, secretary of CBAIM, LI Qiang, committee member of CBAIM, FANG Jin-yong and CHENG Yong-chong，, committee member of CBAIM, WANG Yan, Director of the Editorial Office of the Chinese Journal of Burns Wounds & Surface Ulcers attended the symposia.

 The meeting was full of festival atmosphere and all the things including the red banners, strawberry and dates on the table were indicating that CBAIM will undergo another fruitful year in 2012. XIAO Mo, President of CBAIM was hosting the meeting and after introducing the leaders and guests, he made a work report of CBAIM in 2011; YANG Zhi-bin, President of MEBO International Group warmly welcomed the presence of the leaders on behalf MEBO International Group and he also appreciated the help and support of CAIM in the promotion and training of MEBT/MEBO and express the desire to have more and more promotions, training and popularizations of CAIM under the guide of leaders of CAIM to benefit more people with burns and ulcers.

 

  MU Da-wei, Secretary of CAIM was fully appreciate and praised the work of CBAIM in the recent ten years especially 2011. The work of CBAIM in the field of promoting and popularizing the achievements of “one hundred fruits in ten years” of Ministry of Health and continued medical education & academic exchange was prominent. He also made some requirements and suggestions regarding the work of CBAIM in next year: 1, further improve the quality of continued medical education and academic exchange. Try to attract more and more doctors of TCM and integration of traditional and western medicine to participate the academic exchange and share their experience since the process of exchange is the process of development; 2, continue to run the Chinese Journal of Burn Wounds and Ulcers and improve the quality of the magazine. Try to collect some high quality articles and articles of other therapies in order to build a platform for experts to compete and thus the superiority of MEBT/MEBO can be seen through the compete; 3, pay more attention about quality and length of continued medical education and prepare some test if necessary so as to help the doctor to grasp the theory and procedure of MEBT/MEBO. During the meeting, Director CHEN Xiao-ye, Secretary LEI Yan proposed some good suggestions and recommendations regarding the design and development of the basic research and clinical application of MEBT/EBO. Meanwhile, president ZHANG Qian, Director LI Qiang also delivered speech during the meeting. The meeting was full of active and academic atmosphere.

 The meeting was short but with obvious results which not only enhance the bond of CBAIM and CAIM but also improve the understanding and also summarized the achievements and drawbacks during the last year, moreover determined the direction and focus of work in the next following year. We believe CBAIM will do a better job with the guidance of CAIM and will promote and popularize MEBT/MEBO to more and more hospitals and benefit more patients with burn and ulcers.
