On 3rd December, 2011, with careful planning and organization, a scientific achievement appraisal meeting which was hosted by Science and Technology Bureau of Kaifeng City named “Clinical Research of MEBT/MEBO in Controlling Burn Wound Infection” was held at the meeting room of MEBO Kong Fen Hospital of Burn Wounds & Surface Ulcers of Kaifeng City. YAN Jian-hua, Director of Science and Technology Bureau of Kaifeng City and WANG Dong, Director of the Department of Appraisal of Science and Technology Bureau hosted and supervised the appraisal process. Vetting committee include seven burn experts, they are : ZHAO Jun-xiang, Chief physician, President of the Nanshi Affiliated Hospital of Henan University ( Chairman), LOU Ji-he, Chief physician, Director of the Burn Department of The First People’s Hospital of Zhengzhou City ( Vice-chairman), LI Hua-qiang, Chief physician, Vice-President of The First People’s Hospital of Kaifeng City ( Vice-chairman), WANG Bing-zhen, Director of the Burn and Plastic Department of Central Hospital of Luohe City, LI Tian-yu, Chief physician of the Nanshi Affiliated Hospital of Henan University, LI Gang-fu, Associated chief physician, Director of the Burn Department of Central Hospital of Luoyang City, HUI lei, Associated chief physician of the Burn Department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University.
At the appraisal meeting Director ZHENG Yu-hong was making report about the research Q&A part
On behalf of the team, ZHENG Yu-hong, Director of the Burn Department of MEBO Kong Fen Hospital of Burn Wounds & Surface Ulcers of Kaifeng City made a final report of scientific research project to the experts of the committee and leaders of the Science and Technology Bureau. Director ZHENG made a detailed explanation and introduction regarding the research design, methods, skills, breakthrough, clinical effects and social benefits with PowerPoint. Her report was clear with solid proof and enough materials also pictures of typical cases which received high praise and approval from the experts.

Experts of the committee carefully listened to the final report and reviewed all the subject materials and also raised questions in terms of subject selection, clinical therapeutic effects, course of treatment and cost which were answered by the subject team. In the end, after discussion all the members of the committee agreed that the topic of the subject was novel and design was reasonable with right skills and therapeutic approaches. Therefore it was worthy to be promoted and popularized with reliable therapeutic effects and also it is a practical technique in controlling burn wound infection. The subject has reached the highest level of the province and the whole country. Finally, the science and research subject “clinical research of MEBT/MEBO in controlling burn wound infection” which was taken by the MEBO Kong Fen Hospital of Burn Wounds & Surface Ulcers of Kaifeng City was certified by the scientific achievement appraisal meeting.
