Generally, people always feel curious and perturbed to unknown field. Science, for normal people, is serious and abstruse while life science is a more familiar but mysterious zone. Why people diligently explore the secrets of life science? It might be from our boundless self-appreciation and ignorance.
Although I have made the best preparation to meet Rongxiang Xu, who is a life scientist with success and controversy, when stepping into his office in Beijing Grand Hotel, I was surprised at his vigor that dimmed out of ages brought by time. He was more frank and humorous than other scientists in my mind, but less sly and astute than other bosses.
I once thought we must have a boring talking on ‘cell’, ‘tissue organ’, ‘burns’, ‘Regeneration’ and alike, however, we finally had a three-hour conversation in a free and friendly atmosphere. Although I seldom knew those terms, I could roughly understand the truth and logic of life science somehow. Rongxiang Xu opened a knowledge door to us by his passion, honesty, tolerance, and hard working.
