MEBO's Regenerative Healing Techniques Have Generated Great Interests Among Surgeons in the Philippines

Participation of MEBO Experts to the 64th Annual Academic Conference of Philippine College of Surgeons

The 64th Annual Academic Conference of Philippine College of Surgeons was held ceremoniously on Dec 8th – Dec 11th 2008 in the Shangri-La Hotel in Manila, capital of Philippines. This annual academic conference of Philippine College of Surgeons is a national medical conference held annually which covers approximately 12 subjects or scientific fields such as General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery and Orthopedics etc. More than 1500 experts and scholars from more than 20 provinces/cities have participated this annually magnificent meeting to communicate and interchange with Chirurgeons from all over the world. There are about 90 expert representatives have participated the thematic meeting on Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr Chen Yongchong, director of the Chinese Burns Association of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine (CBAIM) and director of the Medical Department of the Chinese Burns and Ulcers Technology Center,was invited to this conference to present a thematic lecture.

This academic conference was open at 9:30 am on Dec 8th 2008 and hosted by Jayson R. Martin, Chairman of Society of Plastic Surgeons. Lecture presented by Dr Chen Yongchong, Refractory Wounds Treated with Regenerative Healing Technique, was arranged to be the first one. There are four parts in this vivid lecture: 1. Burns Skin Regenerative Healing Technique in situ; 2. Micro-Epidermis Planting and Cultivating Regenerative Technique; 3、Drilling and regenerative healing technique of bone exposed wound; 4、Cancer ulcer regenerative healing technique. This lecture was impressively presented by Dr Chen with lots of veridical clinical cases and supernatural clinical effects to participated clinical experts from burns, plastic surgery and cosmetic departments all over Philippines. In addition, some clinical effects of regenerative healing for large area deep burns, severe electrical burns, bone burns and all types of chronic ulcers (including cancer ulcer) were presented with both texts and pictures, and the profound mechanism and method of this technique were explained in simple terms. All the expert representatives were shocked and attracted by regenerative medicine, and they were asking questions actively after lecture on the infection control of burns wounds and regenerative technique of micro-epidermis planting and cultivating. Dr Chen had answered all their questions carefully and questioners were all satisfied with Dr Chen’s answers.

After the presentation, PGH, Jose R. Reyes Medical Hospital and East Avenue Hospital of Manila all invited Dr Chen to burns center of their hospitals to conduct academic communication and technical guidance, and great efforts had been achieved.

1、In the morning of Dec 9th, Dr Chen was invited to PGH to monitor the clinical application status of burns regenerative therapy and guide the treatment in large area burns.

2. In the afternoon of Dec 9th, Dr Chen was invited to the Philippine Governmental Hospital to guide the wound treatment and train the doctors and nurses in the hospital.

3、In the morning of Dec 10th, Dr Chen was invited to East AvenueHospital of Manila (governmental hospical with 600 beds) to conduct technical communication and training. Burns patients in this hospital were treated with burns regenerative therapy right after the training.

Even though there was only 3 days to attend this academic conference of Philippine College of Surgeon, this academic lecture presented by Dr Chen is greatly influencing the medical academic field of Philippines, since Philippine Chirurgeons had a further understanding about regenerative therapy through this lecture and also regenerative therapy do have benefit burns and ulcer patients in Philippines, which has laid a firm fundation for the academic development and technical popularization in the next stage.
