Regenerative Medicine Was Preferred----The third phase of Indian Clinical Trial Proceeding Orderly

With the expanding of the international influence and popularity of MEBT/MEBO invented by Prof. Xu Rongxiang, more and more countries expect to bring in MEBT/MEBO and its corollary product----MEBO Wound Ointment, India is one of them. In order to bring in MEBT/MEBO as fast as possible, approved by Drug Controller General of India, the third phase of Indian clinical trial for MEBO Wound Ointment has been officially initiated in July 2010 and gradually started in hospitals at different levels. At the end of 2010, Prof. Chen (the clinical director of Chinese Scientific and Technological Center for Burns, Wounds and Ulcers, the vice-president of Beijing Rongxiang Institute for Regenerative Medicine) and Mr. Zhang Yin (the technical support specialist of Chinese Association of the Integrity of Traditional and Western Medicine) came to Chennai KMC Affiliated Hospital and Madurai Affiliated Hospital to give the training for participating staff in the trial by the request of Prof. Jayaraman (President of Indian Burn and Plastic Surgical Association and Director of the Affiliated Hospital of Madras Medical College) in order to maintain the safe and orderly progress of the clinical trial. The features of MEBT/MEBO including the advancement, practicality, efficiency, easy to manipulate and etc made MEBT/MEBO popularize among the Indian doctors. At present, the clinical trial is now being gone orderly and has had primary success. Now that a short introduction is given for all expectants and readers:
1. In the morning of Dec 29th, Prof. Chen and Mr. Zhang paid a visit to Chennal KMC Burn Center (with 50 beds, the second-most burn center in India, more than 2800 burn in-patient clients for each year), conducted the academic activities and discussed the relevant matters related with clinical trial that were warmly welcomed by the medical staff in burn center.
2. From Nov 30th to Dec 1st, Prof. Chen conducted the training of clinical trial that demonstrated and guided the procedures of local wound in Chennal KMC Burn Center according to the schedule. Followed by the study design, the third phase of Indian clinical trial of MEBO Wound Ointment is the multiple-center randomized trial. Therefore, Prof. Chen firstly demonstrated the standard procedures of MEBT/MEBO for the patients in test group (Moisture Bandage Therapy of MEBT/MEBO). Then the traditional procedures were performed to treat burn wounds in control group. The participating medical staff much more deeply understood the entire design of this clinical trial, steps of intervention, the requirements of wound intervention, the ways to fill in the Case Registration Form via thsi two days’ short training that built up the foundation to some extent for the high-quality and safe progressing of clinical trial.

3、From Dec 2nd to 4th, without a stop, Prof. Chen and Mr. Zhang Yin, receiving the invitation from Prof. Balasubramanian (President of Madurai Affiliated Hospital and Director of the hospital’s burn center) arrived at the burn center of Madurai Affiliated Hospital (with 20 beds) to discuss and make a decision that add this burn center as the clinical trial center. Then, Prof. Chen gave a wonderful special lecture about MEBT/MEBO. The participating doctors and nurses were attracted by the amazing effects of MEBT/MEBO with all concentration paid. After the lecture, all felt exciting for the great effect of MEBT/MEBO and raised up their questions. And Prof. Chen and Mr. Zhang Yin replied patiently with dynamic phenomenon. All of them felt proud and happy to be part of the clinical trial. Then, Prof. Chen demonstrated the standard procedures of MEBT in burn ward that was greatly welcomed.

4、 Dec 5th, Prof. Chen was once again invited by Prof. Jayaraman to participate the working meeting of Burn and Plastic Doctor of Chennai Medical University and give a lecture with the topic about regenerative medicine. The lecture was hosted by Prof. Jayaraman who introduced Prof. Chen and Mr. Zhang with enthusiasm and excitement. Then, Prof. Chen presented a vivid lecture concerning MEBT/MEBO that brought the house down.
After the lecture, Prof. Jayaraman offered an official invitation for Chinese MEBT team and burn specialist from all over the world to come to take part in the Indian National Burn Yearly Meeting hold in Chennai, India from Jan 21st to 23rd in 2011. At that time, MEBT/MEBO, invented by Prof. Xu Rongxiang will be introduced to the burn and plastic doctors from all over the India. Then all participants will get a comprehensive interpretation about the MEBT/MEBO to make a sufficient preparation for the introduction and the application of this approach into India and benefiting all Indian patients with burns, wounds and surface ulcers.
