MEBO Group Joins “Rare Disease Care Movement of Chinese Red Cross Foundation”

　　On July 2, 2019, the “Rare Disease Care Movement” of Chinese Red Cross Foundation was initiated in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, China. MEBO Group as the first batch supporter of this movement was highly praised by Chinese Red Cross Foundation which expressed its gratitude to MEBO Group for its generous support and extraordinary contributions to humanitarian and public welfare undertakings. 

 

 

 

　　Chen Zhu, President of Red Cross Society of China, and Guo Changjiang, Chairman of Chinese Red Cross Foundation, attended this event. This movement was supported by several funds, such as Red Cross Society of China “Academician Fraternity Fund” will give full play of “Academician +”effect and actively participate in this movement；Chinese Red Cross Foundation Oriental Angle Fund also set up a special relief project for rare diseases to promote the development of Chinese humanitarian and public welfare undertakings. The office director of the management committee of Rongxiang Xu Regenerative Life Non-profit Fund also attended this movement and said the Fund will make efforts to popularize the knowledge about rare disease and the rescue work of such diseases.

 

 

 

　　Currently, there is not a uniform definition for rare diseases in the world. WHO defines rare diseases as diseases with the number of patients accounting for 0.65 ‰-1 ‰ of the total population. There are a variety of rare diseases. Given China’s huge population, there are about 20 million of people suffering rare diseases of various types. MEBO Group, as a leading enterprise of regenerative life science, will give full play to the advantages of the regenerative medical technology and contribute its due efforts for the treatment of rare diseases by making use of its powerful science and technology.
