The afternoon of 25 May 2012 witnessed the academic exchange session of the conference, and this session was co-hosted by Professor HE Quan-yong, the Vice Chairman of Chinese Burns Association of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine (CBAIM) and the Director of Burns Plastic Surgery of Xiangya Third Hospital of Hunan province, and Professor SU Shun-qing, the Vice Chairman of CBAIM and the Director of the Burns Department of Donghua Hospital, Dongwan city, Guangdong province.
Firstly, Mrs. SUN Xia, President of MEBO International Marketing Group made a report on the outcomes of different approaches in the treatment of extensive burn injuries. Following her, the vice president of International Surgeon Association and the president of the UAE branch, head of Plastic Surgery Division of Gulf Specialty Hospital Professor Ali Al-Numairy made an introduction about his experience of using MEBT/MEBO in wound management. And then, FAGN jin-yong, the Director of Beijing Rongxiang Institute of Burns Wounds & Ulcers, made a report with the title of “the Regenerative Restoration Technology and Its End-point Standards in Burns Wounds & Ulcers Treatment”, which defined the clinical technical standards and provided a guidance for clinical doctors. Professor Mostafa El-Sonbati, the Director of Plastic Surgery of Assiut University Affiliated Hospital of Egypt introduced the application experience of MEBO in Egypt. Professor TAN Jun from the Plastic and Laser Surgery Department of Hunan People’s Hospital made a report on the title of “Histological Study of MEBO Combined with Laser Therapy in Scar Prevention”, which showed us the significant efficacy of MEBO combined with laser therapy in treating various skin scarring. And after him, Miss WANG Yi-fei, the Director of English Editorial Committee of the Chinese Journal of Burns Wounds & Surface Ulcers concluded and analyzed the status of diabetic ulcers in the worldwide. Nasser Saeed Alkhater, Head of Surgical Department from Saudi Arabia, exchanged the latest development of diabetic foot treatment. Professor WANG Hong-sheng, Deputy Director of Clinical Department of MEBO International Group standardized the clinical procedures of MEBO in treating wounds and ulcers, and stressed that the final healing outcomes of wounds and ulcers depend on the standard application of MEBT/MEBO. Even a small recklessness not only cannot relieve patients’ pain and will also bring about uncorrectable regret to patient’s life quality and even psychology. Orthopedist Yong Aik Peng from Malaysia showed us a case of MEBO as a viable soft tissue cover to manage the open fracture grade IIIB. Director HU Dong-cai from the Clinical Department of MEBO International Group lectured on the topic of MEBO-cultures micro-skin planting regenerative therapy. He stressed that micro-skin planting has been applied in clinic, but this technique is still a transitional one and will be replaced by MEBT/MEBO finally. Doctor Mahmound Sakr, one member of American Surgeon Association from Kuwait introduced his controlled test comparing the effect of MEBO in the healing of diabetic foot ulcers based on a large amount of cases. The attending physician of Ya’an People’s Hospital, doctor WANG Xiang-ning gave a detailed introduction regarding the dressing change standards of MEBO, which further confirmed that standard application of MEBT/MEBO play a key role in the healing time and healing quality of wounds.
At this session, there are 12 experts and representatives from home and abroad giving the lectures which covers a wide range including the clinical application of MEBT/MEBO in various skin wounds. By drawing on a large number of experimental studies and case presentations, MEBT/MEBO is confirmed as an advantageous technique for the wound reparation.
