On 17th May, Doctor LIU showed the case pictures took during admission and compared with the pictures took recently. Thus the strong comparison highlighted the outstanding efficacy of MEBT/MEBO. After that Doctor LIU also demonstrated the standard dressing change of various burn, wound management including initial treatment, clinical features of first degree burn as well as the cautions during liquefaction, repairing and recovery stage, how to differentiate liquefaction and infection, skin incision and tension relieving, micro skin planting, windowing and scar prevention after wound healing etc. With the PPT demonstration New Zealand team had a overall comprehensive understanding about MEBT/MEBO.

On 18th May, based on the visiting in the last two days New Zealand team finally began their clinical practice of MEBT/MEBO. Under the instruction of Doctor LIU they desperate to get their hands dirty. The practice involved dressing change of deep second degree bun, standard procedure of wound cleaning, time and method of removing rotted skin as well as the principle of application and also dressing change of diabetic foot ulcer and precautions during dressing change etc. During the practice they also witnessed the initial treatment and skin incision and tension relieving technique of a newly admitted patient with hot metallic liquid burn. Doctors and nurse realized the superiority and unique of this technique in relieving pain and financial burden after clinical practice.

On 21st May, Professor WANG and New Zealand Doctors came to Dong Hua Affiliated Hospital of Zhongshan University. This hospital is also one of the base hospitals of MEBT/MEBO. First of all Professor SU Shun-qing, Director of Burn Department demonstrated many successful cases treated by MEBT/MEBO in his department. Moreover, patients were more satisfied with our treatment. This technique was definitely a great invention that benefits the country and the people. After that they visited burn ward and all the questions proposed by New Zealand doctors were answered carefully. In the afternoon they also visited the Burn Department of Nanhai People’s Hospital of Foshan City. The hospital also introduced and used MEBT/MEBO in the treatment of various burns.
