The Chinese delegation of the China-California Economic and Trade Forum visited the Headquarter of the Bay Area Council
On May 24th, the Chinese delegation of the China-California Economic and Trade Forum, which successfully concluded in Los Angeles on May 22nd, visited the headquarter of the Bay Area Council located on the Klamath ship at Pier 9 in San Francisco. The Bay Area Council was a co-organizer of the China-California Economic and Trade Forum and would co-organize the APEC 2023 Summit scheduled to take place in November this year in San Francisco, United States.
This was the first national-level Chinese trade delegation to the United States after the Covid-19, aiming to restart official business cooperation and exchanges with the United States, especially California. Kevin Xu, Executive Director of the Bay Area Council and Co-Chair of the International Committee, as well as CEO of MEBO Group, was invited to attend the forum and deliver a speech. Mr. Jim Wunderman, President and CEO of the Bay Area Council, delivered a welcome message via video, extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, including Mr. Liu Chun, Vice President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, Mr. Ma Li, Deputy Secretary-General of Heilongjiang Provincial Government, as well as representatives from provinces and cities such as Jiangsu, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Inner Mongolia, Hubei, and Shanghai, and Mr. Wu Peimin, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Consulate General of China in San Francisco. Mr. Mark Chandler, Director of the Office of International Trade and Commerce of the City and County of San Francisco, delivered a warm welcome speech, emphasizing the Bay Area's pioneering role in Sino-US business exchanges and cooperation, and expressing hopes for further enhancement of such collaboration in the future.
