President of MEBO International - Mr. Kevin Xu attended the SXSL event in the White House upon invitation

The first “South by South Lawn” (SXSL) Technology and Art Festival event proposed by U.S. President Mr. Obama was successfully held in the White House on Oct. 3, 2016. Mr. Kevin Xu, an American Chinese entrepreneur and President of MEBO International, attended this event upon invitation as the Young Mentor of Pioneer Forum Project of CGI (Clinton Global Initiative).

 



  

The “South by South Lawn” (SXSL) Technology and Art Festival is the upgraded version of the “South by Southwest” (SXSW) Music Festival. Mr. and Mrs. Obama attended the annual SXSW Music Festival early this year in Austin, Texas and gave a speech on the event. They were very interested in this event and planned to organize a “South by South Lawn” (SXSL) Technology and Art Festival in the White House to gather together the innovators, inventors and organizers who dedicate themselves to improving people’s lives, enhancing their communication and inspiring them to put ideas into practice.

 

On the event, the experts and elites from all walks of life developed heated discussions on topics such as digital media, food revolution, global climate change and disease treatment, etc., and contributed their ideas and strategies to promoting social progress.

 

 

Mr. Kevin Xu, the President of MEBO International, was interviewed by the media during the event and said that he will, continue to support the White House’s efforts  to address the issues facing human development and improve the lives of people all over the world.
