"On-site Rescue" – Report about Disaster Relief (I)
A 6.6-magnitude quake that jolted the juncture area of Minxian and Zhangxian counties in Gansu Province was measured at 7: 45 on July 22nd of 2013. The earthquake was serious both in terms of magnitude and the range. Also, many other disasters followed due to the complicated terrain and multiple natural hazards, resulting in great loss. The old fragile residential buildings fell off, and thousands of residents are now left in difficult situations. The whole China is moved by the tears and pains, the sorrows and injuries endured by victims in Gansu Province, and all our enthusiasm and joint power will provide all those with sufferings with hopes and a sound future.

In the afternoon of July 22nd, Director Liu Baifu, member of standing committee of CBAIM and President of Yellow River Hospital affiliated to Red Cross Society of Gansu Province, delegated his disaster relief team to Meichuan town of Minxian county under the orders of Health Department of Gansu Province and Gansu Red Cross Society. The skin regeneration technology that has been adopted in various battles, the earthquakes and mudslide disasters brought good news to all victims in Gansu. The technology focused more on restoration of functions and restructuring of tissues, realizing healing of wounds and maintaining completeness of structures and functions to the maximum extent. It can help achieve best healing effects under special circumstances, e.g. earthquake, effectively prevent amputation and infections and maintain life quality of victims in the quake zone.
Together with 15 doctors, Director Liu left from Lanzhou at 22:00 in an emergent manner and arrived at the quake zone at about 4am of 23rd after 6 hours. Though tired and hungry, what they considered most is to rescue patients with the fastest speed, the most convenient means and the most effective technology.

They kept working and treating patients. On July 23rd, leaders from National Red Cross Society and Gansu Provincial Red Cross Society came to the quake zone for observation and offered their appreciation to the orderly effective treatment provided by the medical team.
The lives of victims are superior to everything in the quake. A medical team of 15 people can carry out 24-hour emergent rescue, providing hopes to the quake zone.
