Report Burn Congress 2013

Dear Richard,

This is report of the Burn Congress held in Sari Pan Pasific Hotel since 9 – 10 February 2013.

In my opinion, this congress is successful, because it achieved the target of as many as 250 – 300 participants.

Day 1 – The two rooms were used separately for the laymen people and for the doctors.

For the layman symposium, around 100 people presented, and the scientific symposium attracted 200 doctors. The doctors came from many of the cities like Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Klaten ,Jakarta and other cities nearby. This Congress invited 18 speakers . Four of them were international speakers like Prof. Colin Song from Singapore, Prof.Joon Pio Hong MD from Korea, David Lumenta MD from Austria and Shah Jummat MD from Malaysia.

Day 2 – Half day was for symposium and the other half day was reserved for the Mebo workshop.

Mebo workshop started from 13.00 to 16.30.

The number of the participants of this symposium (Day 2 Symposium) reached 150, and they also attended “MEBO” Workshop in the same room of the symposium.

For Mebo workshop, divided into two groups. We gave some introduction of usage of Mebo.

For burn therapy (by Naim Yusuf) Group-2, we gave some guidance to application of Mebo for Burn therapy (by Dr Frank Buchary). And after that, we changed the group until all of the participants understood this topic. In this workshop, more interactions with the participants involving questions and answers were held until this event finished.
