Chairman Xiao Mo was giving report to Mu Dawei.
The symposium went smoothly in a relaxed and heated atmosphere. First, Chairman Xiao Mo gave a report on the work of SCB in 2012 to leaders of CSIM. Vice-President Zhang Qian extended cordial welcome to the visit of CSIM leaders, expressed appreciation to CSIM for their great support for the foundation and development of SCB, showed thanks to their help in the promotion and training of the state-level new technology – Skin In Situ Regenerative Restoration. In addition, she reported the progress of the allegation that Prof. Xu Rongxiang filed against the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institute for their infringement of MEBO patents. Secretary General Mu Dawei was satisfactory to the overall performance of SCB in 2012, especially to the training and dissemination of the Regenerative Medicine and Therapy, in which the SCB did the best among all the special committees. With SCB’s determined and persistent efforts, hundreds of thousands of medical staffs received training about the latest treatment techniques for Burns, Wounds and ulcers that will consequently benefit lots of patients, with regard to that, it was also reported as a keynote by Secretary General Mu Dawei in the CSIM work conference. Meanwhile, the Secretary General also set specific requests to the work of SCB in 2013: 1. Further improve the quality of the academic activities and continuing education programs, and enroll more clinical practitioners that are engaged in Traditional Chinese Medicine or integration of Chinese and Western Medicine for exchanges in the conference, in this way, the Regenerative Medicine and Therapy will be further promoted and developed; 2. When organizing training workshops, it is important to ensure the quality and adequate class hours. If necessary, schedule examinations to make the trainees master the theory and clinical operation better.

Although not long, the symposium achieved good results. It connected the CSIM and SCB even closer, increased CSIM’s knowledge about SCB; summarized the achievements and found out the shortness; moreover, it set down the direction and focuses for work of SCB in the next phase. We firmly believe that under the correct leadership of CSIM, the SCB will be better and better, will popularize the Regenerative Medicine and Therapy invented by Prof. Xu Rongxiang to hospitals at various levels so as to benefit more and more people.
